Made by US

A photo series showcasing the fundamental role of BIPOC and immigrants in the fabric of the US.

Made by Us: The Queens Photo Series is a photo series showcasing a group of BIPOC and immigrant food makers across Queens, who are using food to represent their culture and bring prosperity to their communities.

The series is comprised of portraits, action shots preparing food, and a photograph of a staple dish or a tablescape representative of each one of the protagonist's traditions.

We want to portray the richness of Queens with their stories and culture as a vehicle, and use the unifying power of food to connect with the audience.

This project is our contribution to a timely conversation around the fundamental role of BIPOC and immigrants in the fabric of the US.
